Farewell

I am sad. I am sad because this is the last season for 7th Heaven and the West Wing. I like both of these shows, for different reasons. But they are both says farewell in a few weeks. I know new shows will eventually take there place, but I've watched both shows since they started and they are both unique to the other "every show's the same" primetime shows. I mean how many CSI's and Law and Orders can one really watch? I have my reality fill with the Apprentice and Survivor. I guess another family show will come on to take the place of 7th Heaven, but part of it's appeal was the Christian aspect. Oh well, I guess nothing can last forever.

Sorry that your shows are over. I am sad about the last season of Alias. There will be others like you said.

I remember rocking and nursing Nathan when 7th Heaven first came on the air. I am very glad that it was a long-running show. But I feel like I know this family!

Of course, I still miss FRIENDS too...which is why I am "investing" in the DVD series...lol!

Maybe they will do that with 7th Heaven too. So I will have some "resources" to draw from when my boys go through the teenage years! ;)

I thought Related was going to take place as my favorite show after these two....but I am very disappointed with how the season ended...so I don't think that is it.

I thought you were going to mention the other show about a family: ALIAS.

I agree about the cookie-cutter shows that dominate the schedule right now. I thought the first CSI was interesting, but that doesn't mean two more versions are justified.

I can't comment of the validity of CSI and it spin-offs, since I don't watch them. But I know people who love the show and the Miami/New York versions. If it is a good show, it is a good show. You can't knock that.

I sometimes catch episodes of the Navy NCIS and I am always drawn in.

I am not into Medical dramas: ER, Grey's Anatomy, House, etc.

Bring back Love Monkey!

We watch CSI and NCIS, but Miami and NY, we tried to watch, but we didn't get into those. Too much of the same thing. Besides 2 shows on that is MORE then enough for any given week! The other thing is a lot of the new shows are law spun. Love Monkey wasn't--but as you pointed out it was here one week and gone the next.

We watched Law and Order some but once it's spin offs got crazy I would watch it from time to time but it ended up killing the whole thing for me.

Ironically I probably would have been okay with a spin off of the West Wing showing the other side the House or Senate or even Republican vs. Democrat. But I guess there wasn't enough of us to feel that way since it's ending and no spin off ever occured. Bummer.
