Brother Bradshaw

I went to see the movie "Failure to Launch" with a couple of friends this weekend. I did not know about this movie, but it sounded like it would be a fun movie to watch about a guy who in his 30's still lives at home so his parents hire a girl to get him to move out.

Terry Bradshaw (former football player turned actor) is the father in the movie. There is a fairly long scene where he shows his butt. He is in his new "naked" room that he acquired after his son finally moved out.

In discussing that scene with some other friends, I was trying to come up with Terry's name. I pointed out that he had a younger brother that was tall with blonde hair who also played football but was a Christian. I was mocked. I was told I was wrong. I was teased about "Brother Bradshaw." I had to prove I was right. I can't let these things go.

I searched the internet...nothing. I kept replaying the scene where I saw the little brother speak at my church when I was in high school. I remember being shocked that he was a brother to Terry because Terry is ugly and the brother wasn't. I phoned my brother Rusty who is was a football player, is a football fan, and was there when "Brother Bradshaw" spoke. He confirmed I was right, said he played for the Houston Oilers and that he is a gospel singer/speaker still. He even said that he was on TBN recently! He could not remember his name.

Now I had more information, I found "Brother Bradshaw" online! His name is Craig and he is a former Oilers player and current Gospel singer/speaker just as my brother said. I was happy to have the hounds stop teasing me! I was also happy to be correct. I have had these things happen more then once where I was wrong, not nearly as much fun as being right! :)

Hello, lol I hate when I'm sure I'm right about something and somebody says different, I get all frustrated looking for proof, and when I find it, it's like instant relief, but then I am never to sure if I should tell the person that said I was wrong because it took so long to find the proof that it almost doesn't seem worth it. Anyways I just stopped by to see what was up with your weblog, mine has slowed down, alot, from the time I started I was posting quite a bit now it's almost every month or couple of months. Sometimes I don't know why I keep it around.

The Bradshaws are Baptist, FWIW. He mentioned in an interview that his mother would be taking friends from church to see the movie, so they may have a reaction to his nude scene.

Terry is a Christian too! I love it the idea of a naked room.

When I was in college, I came home to my apartment where a couple of my roommates declared it 'naked day.'

My other roomate Dan walked in with me to discover our other roomies were buck naked. The funniest is that one of the nudies was sitting on Dan's folding metal chair in his room in front of his computer typing a paper. He nothing seperating "him" form the metal of the chair.

We grabbed our cameras...

It's fun to be right about something when someone had given you a hard time about it.
