Space

The little girl I watch sometimes needs a little space. She can be playing just fine and then all of the sudden she's in a bad mood, crying, and mad. When this happens she can't be talked, coaxed, or played out of it. The only thing that works is letting her go off by herself and come back when she feels better. The more you talk to her the worse she gets. I just started working 10hours on Wednesday. Most of that is just with C (her little brother.) After lunch she goes to school and she knows that he goes home with me. I think this is bothering her because her behavior on these days are worse then any other day I am with her. She wants the attention. She wants the time, or at least she doesn't want C to get it. I am hoping that by next week she'll figure out that her time with her mom is more fun and she won't be as jealous of C getting to do things with my family. Until then, I guess there's always a corner for her to sulk in. Some people just need space. I can relate to that, but I'm not sure that I could at the age of six!

It's funny how kids go things, isn't it? Right now, my youngest is going through his "ew, yuk, your germs are on it" stage. However, my daycare director seems to think that isn't normal and insists that he see a doctor about it...lol! I told her that when I was a kid...I didn't even like my food to touch on my plate!!!! =D (course my ex will tell you I am not normal either)

It does kinda sound like she's jealous. Maybe she needs some time along with space.

I needed my space this morning at work. I was mad and in a bad mood.
