Still learning :) :) :)

Cman is starting to speak up more. He's asking questions and making conclusions from things he's learning. He's listening to things that are being said and sharing his thoughts. We are so glad that he is doing this and it's creating teachable moments. Tonight we found out that he knew what Gospel was, he understood it to be the bad king that wanted Jesus dead. We explained to him what it really was and who the King was that he thought was Gospel. His reply "OH, so it's not a bad word?" "No it's not." "OH. That's good to know!"

When we read some tonight from his Bible we learned about Jesus and His first trip to the temple. We also learned about His baptism. As he listened he had a great question. "So, were they able to see the spirit then, or did they just know it in their hearts, or did they for real, really SEE it?" Good questions and all were addressed. We also learned that everything that we covered from the trip to the temple, he had just learned in Sunday School this week from Miss Polly! It's great that both the kids are finally at ages where we can have good family discussions and it's always good to know what they are thinking so you can clarify misunderstandings :)!!

That's cool to have that kind of family discussion environment.

I think I am to the point of having my boys join me in service too. J wants to go with me, but N wants to try the kid's classes. But we compromised last Sunday and they went one more time to "check" out the kids class...then next week they are coming with me to "check" out the real service.

Since we are starting to attend a new church, I think this is a good changing point in bringing them with me. Maybe then we can begin having some of the similar discussions you are having with your kids. :)
