Ever since I met him, dash has had an uncanny way of knowing what I need, when I need it. He also has a way of knowing what some of my friends need. I have a friend from high school. We keep in touch via the phone. When she's needed me he's understood the long phone calls. He's never complained about our long distance bill. When we were first married and it was quiet high, he'd say--you need to be able to talk to your family and friends and we'd find a way to pay it. (We now pay less for our cable, ld, local, computer connection, and cell phones then we did for LD alone before! Thank goodness for competition!) When I get sick of the city, he sends me back to my folks telling me that I need that time to chill out! He knows when I need somethings before I know it!
Most recently he's given up our time together for me to help Jadee. He's sensitive to the needs of others and I love that about him. He's not selfish. Okay, maybe he's enjoyed some time watching "his shows." He really stepped up to enable me to be able to make the trips I've made. He assured me he'll take care of things for me here while I've been gone and he's done just that. He rearranged his work day to have the kids not be at home all day when he knew I was worried about them.
I use to have a very specific idea of what a man was. I had no idea just how special a man could be when allowed to not be held to my specific ideas of what he should be. I am glad that I've been able to understand that his specialness is what makes him the man that I needed in my life. I am also glad that he cares for not just me but my friends as well. He is a special kind of man.

What she didn't post about is all the stuff on my list that I didn't get done.
I feel very undeserving of T's comments since i usually see myself as a very selfish person. On the other hand, she stopped by the store after a 4 hour drive to pick up a thank you pie.
I'm a lucky man.

There will always be a list, so it's never done! Thanks golden for having dash and the little ones over. I was glad they got out to have some fun! Thanks for thinking of them.
