Some of you have met Jadee, some of you have not, but all of you have either read her blog or her comments from time to time.
As her best friend and prayer partner, I wanted to ask you all to pray for her. I found out, today that she's been in the hospital since Tuesday night. My information is sketchy at best. But currently what I have been told is this:
They originally thought because of her low blood pressure on Tuesday night that she had internal bleeding from a fall. The test results showed Kidney damage. Upon further examination they found a severe Kidney infection. Friends were told that if it had gone untreated much longer she would have died.
She's been in the hospital since Tuesday without her boys. She has not been allowed to eat anything since Wednesday. She is heavily sedated and unable to have a clear conversation, but knows that the situation is serious. The doctors are not entertaining the thought of release until they see her infection respond to the antibiotics, which as of now it is not doing.
While her small group from her church are caring for the boys and being by her side, she has no family in St. Louis. I will be there this weekend to sit with her by day and clean by night so her work load when she gets home is less. Please keep her in your prayers and those who are caring for her and her children. They are a remarkable group of families pulling together for her during this time.
Thank you,
T

Thanks for letting us know. I will remember to pray for her. You are such a wonderful friend to her and all of us.
We will keep her in our prayers. Please keep us updated on her condition.
Thank you for your continued prayers. I was with her all day today. I just got back from the hospital. They are concerned she's developing pnuemonia now.
While I was there today I found out that in her chart is says her liver is laserated. She is VERY jaundice. She was able to hold a conversation for a while today, but was not able to do so when I left. She was also spiking a temp when I left her. There are many complicated factors to her condition and at this point it is a waiting game for the infection to get better so they can see how the liver and kidneys are functioning. Thanks again for your prayers.
I have to admit that I was prepared to clean when I got here and others have already been here and taken care of that, so I can focus on Joy and the other things she's asked me to take care while I'm here. What a a hugh blessing.
I'm going to try to keep this updated, even though I'm posting another blog for those who have asked.
We are making some headway tonight. First of all, joy was aware of her surroundings all day except once when her temp spiked.
Second. The doctors are working together and we actually had a good consultation with one of them that explained things better.
The just of it at the moment is this....it's an extremely complicated case with several things happening. They are trying to avoid surgery so....
This is what she needs prayer on most recent:
Her liver is not functioning properly. They are thinking it's an allergic reaction to augmenton. They have stopped this med and switched to one that is not a cilin drug. They will retest in 2 days. If the liver is still not working properly then she will have to have a liver biopsy to determine what is causing it to not function right.
She's also developed another infection that you can only get in a hospital and having extra complications with that.
The boys care for the week is still not determined. Pray that I will have the ability to make the right decision regarding what's best for the boys and everyone involved. Due to Joy's physical condition she can't spend the time and energy figuring this out....which leads me to my post that will be blogged out in a little while!
J is doing better tonight. They say she'll be in the hospital maybe all week. Although if test results show her liver function improving, maybe released Wed or Thur.
