I am one who enjoys my time. I have found in the recent year that while the kids and mr. T are at church on Wednesday nights, I can relax and take a couple hours and have some down time. This time is not time spent on what I have to do for the family. I don't think about the bills, laundry, dishes, or if everyone has what they need. I just take this to unwind. I don't get this luxury other times of the week because there is always something to do.
With the kids being gone this past week or so, I've had a lot more of my time. I can honestly say that I got more done in less time without the constant interuptions. Tomorrow, I go pick my kids up in St. Louis. (the 1/2 point.) Straight there and back with little more than a potty break right after work. I'll be gone till about midnight. But when I get home, I'll have kids in tow and blogging won't be done in silence. Dishes, laundry, and housework won't be done in silence. Watching tv without needing the pause button will be no more.
But I welcome the pause button and I'm glad they'll be home. It's nice to have them around to share life with. I feel that I'll have as much to tell them as they do me with all the fun stuff Mr. T and I got to do together.

There is little I love more than down time. I am sure you appreciate it more with kids.
Glad you were able to have "my time." You guys got a nice long break away from the kids. Not only did the kids have a vacation but you and Mr. T did too.
I loved driving by you guys late Sunday evening. You both had that "glow" about you as you walked in the Summer evening. When I was a kid I loved my time with my grandparents. Everybody wins until we miss each other again.
Down time...wonderful. Sometimes I sit still but can't shut off my brain, so it's always wonderful when it can be truly relax time. I'm looking forward to some of that next week!
